Bugs and Junk: Transforming data from emerging -omics fields into novel therapeutics
How do discoveries from relatively new fields of study, like the microbiome and the “dark genome”, make the journey from innovative scientific concept into applicable therapeutics? Creative bioinformatics approaches are a crucial element in exploring and ultimately validating new frameworks for use in biomedicine. Join us for a webinar with computational biologist Dr. Liyang Diao to learn how data science can turn discoveries from emerging research areas into biomedical breakthroughs.
Dr. Liyang Diao is the Director of Data Science at ROME Therapeutics. She is passionate about using computational tools both to solve novel research problems in genomics as well as realize the therapeutic potential of these insights. Dr. Diao received her PhD in Bioinformatics from Rutgers University, and completed her postdoctoral training at Yale.
